Epidemic rebound and economic downside risks limit oil price increases

Affected by factors such as Saudi Arabia and Russia's continued emphasis on implementing production reduction commitments, international oil prices rose last week (October 12 to October 16). Light crude oil futures rose 0.69% for the entire week, and Brent crude oil futures rose 0.19% for the entire week.

As of the close of October 16, the price of light crude oil futures for November delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell by $0.08 to close at $40.88 per barrel, a decrease of 0.20%; the price of London Brent crude oil futures for December delivery fell 0.23 US dollars, to close at 42.93 US dollars per barrel, a decrease of 0.53%.
